Heavy Equipment Interchange Platform

Complete documentation for the Dyco Drives platform. Search across 5,000+ machines, compare parts across multiple product workspaces (final drives, swing bearings, and more), and find interchange solutions using AI-powered scoring.

The platform is organized into product-line workspaces. Final Drives is the flagship and most mature workspace today; Swing Bearings ships with a bearing viewer; Swing Drives, Cylinders, Pumps, and Recoil Springs are scaffolded and being filled in. Pick a workspace from the home screen to see its tabs.

Signing In

Navigate to dycodrives.com/app to access the login portal. Enter the username and password provided by your administrator.

1

Go to dycodrives.com/app

You'll see the Heavy Equipment Interchange ERP login screen.

2

Enter your credentials

Type your username and password, then click Sign In.

3

Start searching

Once logged in, you'll land on the Home tab with platform stats and quick access to all features.

Passwords are case-sensitive. If you can't log in, ask your admin to reset your password from the Users tab.

After signing in you land on the workspace picker. Each workspace is a self-contained catalog of parts plus its own tools and tabs. Pick a workspace to open it; the sidebar always shows global pages (Home, Pinned, History, My Account) plus the active workspace's tabs.

Other workspaces

Swing Bearings currently ships with a Dashboard and a Bearing Viewer. The remaining workspaces (Swing Drives, Cylinders, Pumps, Recoil Springs) are scaffolded with their dashboards and are being filled in.

Tip: Press Ctrl/Cmd + K from anywhere to open the command palette. Jump directly to drives, machines, or workspaces by typing — faster than navigating tabs.

Machine Search

The Machines tab is the primary workflow for finding interchange solutions. Start by searching for a machine by make, model, or serial pattern.

1

Search for a machine

Type a machine make, model, or keyword into the search bar (e.g., "CAT 305" or "Kubota KX040"). Results filter as you type.

2

Select a machine

Click on a machine from the results to view its details and compatible final drives.

3

Review scored matches

The AI scoring engine evaluates every candidate drive and returns them ranked by compatibility score (0-100). Higher is better.

Final Drives

Browse the full drive database directly. Use filters and search to find specific OEM or aftermarket part numbers. Each drive card shows the manufacturer, model, key specs, and any known fitments.

Machines by Drive

The reverse lookup tab. Enter a drive part number and see every machine it fits. Useful when you have a drive in stock and want to know what it's compatible with. Results include speed variance calculations showing real-world performance impact.

Drive Clusters

Visualizes drive families as interactive network graphs. Drives that share fitments cluster together, revealing interchange groups you might not have known about. AI-driven unsupervised clustering algorithms group drives by dimensional and performance similarity.

Compare Drives

Select two or more drives for a side-by-side spec comparison. The comparison table highlights differences in speed, displacement, weight, and dimensional specs. Includes a speed variance banner showing predicted performance differences.

Match Scores

The AI scoring engine evaluates 70+ weighted parameters to generate a compatibility score for every drive-to-machine match. The model was trained on tens of thousands of verified fitment records.

Scores range from 0 to 100:

90 – 100 Direct fit or near-identical interchange. High confidence.

75 – 89 Strong match. May require minor adaptation (mounting, hose routing).

50 – 74 Moderate match. Review specs carefully before committing.

Below 50 Low confidence. Significant spec differences. Not recommended without verification.
Scores are continuously improved as new fitment data is added. The machine learning model retrains on new records to enhance accuracy over time.

Speed Variance

Speed variance measures the predicted RPM difference between the OEM drive and a candidate interchange at both low and high speed. It's calculated from displacement ratios and gear reduction specs.

VarianceMeaning
< 5%Negligible difference. Machine will perform as expected.
5% – 15%Noticeable speed change. Operator may feel a difference.
> 15%Significant variance. May affect machine productivity or safety.

Score Interpretation Tips

A high score doesn't guarantee a perfect physical fit — always confirm mounting dimensions and hose connections. A lower score doesn't mean the drive won't work, just that there are more differences the AI flagged for your review.

Use the Compare tab to drill into exactly which specs differ between two drives before making a decision.

My Account

Every user can manage their own profile from the My Account tab:

Search History

The History tab shows your recent searches across all tabs, including the search query, which tab you were on, how many results came back, and when. Admins can toggle to see all users' activity for usage analytics.

PDF Export

From the Compare tab, you can export a side-by-side drive comparison as a PDF report. These reports include all specs, score breakdowns, and speed variance data — ready to share with customers or attach to quotes.

User Management

Admins access the Users tab to manage accounts:

Always create users through the Users tab in the app. Do not insert users directly into the database — passwords must be bcrypt-hashed by the application.

Adding Data

The Add New Info tab (admin only) lets you add new records to the database: drives, machines, fitments, and kits. All additions are logged with the submitting user and timestamp for audit purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate are the match scores?

The AI scoring engine evaluates 70+ weighted parameters and was trained on tens of thousands of verified fitment records. Scores above 85 have historically correlated with successful interchanges. Always verify physical dimensions before ordering.

Can I search by OEM part number?

Yes. Both the Machines and Final Drives tabs support part number search. Enter a full or partial OEM number and the platform will find matches.

How often is the data updated?

The database is actively maintained by the SEP team. New drives, machines, and fitment records are added regularly. The AI model improves accuracy with every new verified fitment record.

Who can see my search history?

Only you can see your own search history. Admins have the option to view all users' search activity for platform analytics.

What browsers are supported?

The platform works best on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox (latest versions). Safari is supported but some visual effects may vary.

Troubleshooting

I can't log in

Check that your username is lowercase and your password is entered correctly (passwords are case-sensitive). If you're still locked out, ask an admin to reset your password from the Users tab.

Search returns no results

Try broadening your search. Use partial terms instead of full model names (e.g., "305" instead of "CAT 305E2 CR"). The search checks across multiple fields including make, model, and part numbers.

The page looks broken or won't load

Hard-refresh with Ctrl + Shift + R to clear cached files. If the issue persists, try a different browser or contact your administrator.

I need a feature that isn't here

Contact the SEP development team with feature requests. The platform is actively developed and we prioritize features based on dealer feedback.
